Red Bull has wrapped up the Red Bull Under My Wiiings mentorship program at the Ministry of Esports Cafe in Pune, India last week.
The two-day program gave a chance to 20 aspiring professional gamers to directly interact with V3nom, ask him questions about a career in esports, content creation, and becoming a professional athlete.
The initiative combined theory-led sessions with practical gameplay to offer participants a clearer understanding of competitive esports. Across the two days, players took part in sessions focused on high-level decision-making, communication, and the fundamentals required to compete at a higher level.
“I came all the way from Dehradun to attend this event. There hasn’t been any event like this where I’ve learned so much. It made the community feel so honored,” an attendee commented.
Participants were able to ask V3nom a plethora of questions across in-game behavior, parental pressure on pursuing it and how to handle it, among other things.
The two-day workshop also featured scrim blocks and gameplay sessions to play with V3nom while receiving real-time feedback to enhance skills. Simar "psy" Sethi, a prominent VALORANT player, also attended the event to guide the attendees.
Beyond gameplay and esports, the sessions also provided insights into the broader gaming ecosystem, including pathways to becoming a content creator and the importance of building a personal brand. V3nom also explained revenue streams to participants, explaining what a sustainable career in gaming and esports looks like.
India’s PC esports ecosystem features limited opportunities for coaching, with aspiring talent often left without a clear direction on how to thrive in the environment. Red Bull Under My Wiiings aimed to bridge that gap between aspiring players and professional ones by offering direct access to Ankit “V3nom” Panth.
