
The Pokémon Company and Skyesports has announced the India Qualifier for the Pokémon UNITE World Championship Series (WCS) 2025. Set to take place in early April, the tournament boasts a massive prize pool of $37,500 USD, and will serve as the country’s gateway to the global championship.
The winner of the India Qualifier will get the chance to represent India at the Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2025, taking place later this year in Anaheim, USA, where the best teams from across the globe will battle for their share of the $500,000 USD prize pool.
Registrations are now open and will close on April 4. Players can register The action-packed qualifier will kick off on April 5 in a single-elimination bracket. The top eight teams will then advance to the Playoffs on April 6, which will follow a double-elimination bracket format. All matches across both stages will be contested in a best-of-three (BO3) format.
The Playoffs will be livestreamed on the official Skyesports YouTube channel, bringing the intense competition and high-stakes action directly to fans across the country.

Pokémon UNITE is rapidly emerging as a leading esports title in India, especially following its recent announcement as a medal event at the Asian Games 2026. With the WCS, this marks the second major international pathway for Indian teams to compete globally in 2025, following the Pokémon UNITE Asia Champions League (ACL), which saw Revenant XSpark and GodLike Esports travel to Japan to represent the nation.
