Solo indie developer Sloth Gloss Games is delighted to announce that their debut game, robot rhythm RPG, Steel Century Groove, is out now on Windows PC via Steam! Deliver beatdowns to the beat in this musical, zero-to-hero adventure.

As a fresh-faced yet determined mecha pilot, you’ll go on a grand journey across the country to prove yourself and become a champion. Challenge other boogie battlers, each of you piloting war machines that have been repurposed as giant robot dancers, thousands of years after humanity avoided an apocalypse.

Create a squad of mighty robots, improving your skills and your build along the way. Upgrades, mods, and unique abilities (including mini dancing drones, critical hits and counters) can all turn your team from rusty rigs to platinum superstars capable of demolishing opponents. Battles use mouse and keyboard or controller, whichever you prefer!

’s story of friendship, foes, and finding your feet is set to a soundtrack of original background music (by October Williamson) and licensed battle music, including 24 tracks exclusively licensed for the copyright-friendly streamer mode. Alternatively, you can do your dancing thing to your very own playlist using the game’s MP3 import feature!

Key Features of Steel Century Groove

  • Boogie Wonderland: Conquer the suburbs, the vibrant big city and everything in between, including a snowy amusement park with rideable rollercoasters, a dazzling moon resort for the ultra-wealthy, and the underwater ruins of San Francisco as you travel from your hometown to compete for the championship.

  • Can’t Touch This: Assemble an unstoppable crew of giant robot dancers, levelling them up, choosing their mods, and collecting upgrades to further add to their two-stepping talent.

  • DIY DJ: The aux cord is all yours, baby! Import any MP3 you like and dance it out with procedurally-generated choreography and charts. For rhythm enthusiasts, manually tweak the BPM and downbeats to maximize precision.

Steel Century Groove is out now on Windows PC via Steam for $19.99 USD / £16.99 GBP / €19,99 EUR with a 10% launch discount.
