Meridiem has released a new gameplay trailer for Neon Blood, in which the powerful character Ruby Emerald is introduced, and more information is teased about the narrative universe surrounding the game. Additionally, the trailer also reveals the contents of the physical βLimited Editionβ release and announces a Q4 2024 launch window for this neo-noir cyberpunk title. This trailer debuted at several digital events during No-E3 2024, including the Best Indie Games Summer Showcase and the Guerrilla Collective Showcase 2024.
Neon Blood is a neo-noir cyberpunk RPG/Graphic Adventure with a 2.5D aesthetic which combines 2D pixel art sprites with 3D-modeled environments. The game features a variety of puzzles, classic turn-based combat, and precise Quick Time Events. Neon Blood is developed by ChaoticBrain Studios and published by Meridiem.
Meridiem will handle the design and manufacture of the boxed edition of Neon Blood, which will be available in specialist retail stores for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch across Europe in Q4 2024. Fans can wishlist the digital version of the game now on Steam and PlayStation, and soon on Nintendo Switch and Xbox.
The boxed Limited Edition of Neon Blood for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch includes a metallic texture cover, an art book, a printed city guide, and a downloadable soundtrack.
Story Setting
In the year 2053, after World War III, humanity has been reduced to a single macropolis, Viridis, composed of two cities: the luxurious Bright City and the dystopian Blind City.
Axel McCoin, a detective from Blind City, driven by his ideals, rebels against the injustices caused by the social separation between the two cities and the general social inequalities, becoming a symbol of a revolution.
In his adventure, Axel will encounter powerful allies who will aid him in his quest, as well as enemies who will stand in his way, such as Ruby Emerald, who will do everything possible to thwart Axel's plans.
