With this announcement, Asus is very much optimistic about the future of eSports market in India. Vinay Shetty, Regional Director, Component Business, ASUS (India & South Asia) said, “The recognition of eSports by our government is a positive sign that will boost the development of the industry faster. We can expect improved access to facilities and infrastructure that will help Indian eSports players. It will also help gain new viewers, new players and help professional gaming go mainstream.”

Initiatives for Accelerating Esports Industry Growth

While speaking on the activities and efforts by ASUS to boost the gaming ecosystem, Vinay commented, “Gaming products have been our forte, so it goes without saying that we are evaluating the eSports industry closely. We aim to increase awareness about eSports, which is why we have tied up with a globally renowned eSports team. This association will help us reach their fans and better understand their needs and budding professional players.
