Vortex Gaming Sanctuary has officially unveiled the Vortex Campus Showdown, a new collegiate esports tournament that will bring together students from 50 plus colleges for a multi-title competition in Noida. The event will feature a cumulative prize pool of ₹5,00,000 and will be open exclusively to student competitors, with registrations set to open soon.

Positioned as a campus-focused competitive platform, the Vortex Campus Showdown will span four titles: VALORANT, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), EA SPORTS FC (FIFA) and Tekken. The tournament is structured in two phases, beginning with the Gaming Lounge Qualifiers scheduled from March 11 to 17, followed by the Main Event LAN at Vortex Gaming Sanctuary from March 18 to 20.

Each title will carry its own prize allocation, with VALORANT leading the pool at ₹2,00,000, followed by BGMI at ₹1,50,000. FIFA and Tekken will each feature prize pools of ₹75,000.

Vortex Gaming Sanctuary, situated at the Boomerung Complex, Sector 128, Noida, will serve as the host venue for the finals, leveraging its dedicated 5v5 competitive stage and tournament-ready infrastructure. The facility is designed to replicate the intensity of professional esports environments, offering players a high-performance setting to compete and spectators an arena-style viewing experience.

A spokesperson from Vortex Gaming Sanctuary said: “The Vortex Campus Showdown is built to give student players a stage that feels as close to top-tier competition as possible. Our goal is to create an environment where emerging talent can compete seriously while also building stronger college-level esports communities.”

The tournament will be supported by JIIT College as the official sponsor. Matches from the Main Event will be streamed live on YouTube, extending the competition’s reach beyond the on-ground audience.

Insurgence Gaming Company is serving as the execution partner for the event, supporting end-to-end tournament operations and delivery.

Commenting on the initiative, Jasper Shabin, Founder of Insurgence Gaming Company, said, “Collegiate esports in India continues to show strong momentum, but structured opportunities at the inter-collegiate level are still developing. Events like the Vortex Campus Showdown help create consistent competitive touchpoints for student players while strengthening the broader campus ecosystem.”

With registrations opening soon, the Vortex Campus Showdown aims to draw participation from student communities across the country, setting the stage for a focused collegiate competition in the months ahead.
