Goose Byte has launched the demo for its novel sci-fi survival craft game, THE SIGNAL: Stranded on Sirenis. The game will be participating in Steam Next Fest starting October 13. Currently in the middle of its Kickstarter campaign, THE SIGNAL showcases the talents of Patricia Summersett (Zelda, Rainbow Six), who brings your enigmatic planetside companion, Sirenis β who playtesters frequently compare to GLaDOS β to life.
The Kickstarter campaign gives players the opportunity to immortalize themselves in-game: backers at the SIGNAL COMMANDER tier will have the opportunity to write their own death story on Sirenis in collaboration with the dev team, as part of a full day on-site (or virtually - your choice!) visit at the Goose Byte office. We'll spend a day with you to bring your idea into the game for everyone to enjoy - including developing a script to be voiced by Sirenis. Dark humor, heroic last stands, or tragic accidents - you decide how your story goes, and how everyone else experiences it.
In THE SIGNALβs demo, which features over 4 hours of gameplay, players build, craft, and prepare their base and gear to go on handcrafted extraction runs in dangerous and varied biomes as you advance the story. Joining along the way is Sirenis, an enigmatic narrator that guides you on the search for your missing brother.
Sirenis isn't just another companion. Voiced by Patricia Summersett, she's part narrator, part survival guide, part... something else. She knows more about what's going on than she admits. Can you trust her? Should you?
